Hail Destroys Bordeaux Area Vines

In the May 13 article, “Hail Deals Serious Blow to Bordeaux Wine Harvest”, Rueters reported that severe hailstorms in the Bordeaux region of France destroyed vines and “put the commercial survival of some wine growers at risk.”
The damage affected thousands of hectares and will hurt the harvests of 2009 and 2010, the news agency reports.
